This place is amazing! You get an authentic german experience great food, you wont leave hungry!!

I first came here in 1994…. Should I stop the review there? Wonderful place, great prices, wonderful service… I lived in Germany for three years and this is the most authentic German food in Colorado!

Great little German restaurant with cool servers and awesome food. The menu is small but the meal I had (daily special) and my friend meal were both yummy. My buddy, enjoyed his meal and the plate was very clean when the server, took his plate away. I was very satisfied with the special and I also had cheesecake that was actually really good. Give the place a shot, the atmosphere is very simple but the workers friendliness and excellent service made the donning experience delightful.

Uwe’s German Restaurant offers a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that immediately brings back memories of Germany. The space is quaint and comfortable, making it a great spot for a relaxed meal and a bit of nostalgia. The service was excellent, friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming from start to finish, which really elevated the overall experience. The food was good and clearly prepared with care, though not quite the best German cuisine I’ve had. Everything we ordered was enjoyable and satisfying, but the menu itself felt somewhat limited compared to what you might expect from a traditional German restaurant. One of the biggest letdowns was the lack of German desserts, which would have been the perfect way to finish the meal and round out the experience. Overall, Uwe’s is a nice, cozy place to eat and reminisce about Germany. With a more expansive menu and a few classic desserts added, this would easily be a five-star spot.

This is possibly one my favorite restaurants in Colorado Springs!! My husband reserved us a table for our anniversary, and I couldn't ask for more! Last time we tried coming they told us reservations are required, so I would definitely reserve a table even during the week! Everything was delicious. We ordered a pint of beer for only $20! We could barely finish it! The German salad was the best thing ever, with the bread and soup too! The veal wiener schnitzel was so tender and delicious! Same for my husband plate, which was a dinner special. We also got the apple strudel. Wow! It was hot and like something I never had before! The prices are perfect for what you get. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is like being at your grandma's house in the Alps, the service is awesome. We can't wait to come back!

My place to go to get authentic German food! The food and servers are amazing. Lots of Germans go there. It could be a good idea to make reservations. My moms and German friends favorite dish is liver (yes lol) and they go there Thursdays for that. Spaetzle are great. You never go wrong with Rahmschnitzel but everything is great on the menu. Def check it out.

We went on a Satuday for lunch while traveling through Colorado Springs. Luckily we were able to get a table but reservations, even at this time of day, are strongly recommended! Decor is simple yet authentic and the music overhead adds to the ambiance. We ordered 3 meals between the 2 of us and had plenty of leftovers for supper back at the hotel. All three meals were delicious, potato dumplings were spongy & filling, Goulash with spaetzel also very good. Jaeger Schnitzel comes with two good sized cutlets. I recommend this place for its authentic food, charm and very friendly wait staff. We will return if we are ever back in this area.

So glad I discovered Uwe's! Cute little place! Of course they have great German beer! The food is amazing. I've been trying to find Frikadelle in COS, and finally found a place that has it! Lunchtime only though. The red cabbage was perfect. Came with fried potatoes as well! My wife got the Jaeger Schnitzel. Got TWO pieces. Just like Germany! The Apple strudel was so good. Perfect for an end to a perfect meal. Please do make reservations though!
